Flash – About 4 months on

Its fair to say since my last post on learning flash I have not really done a lot. In fact I have been so stacked its been at the back of my mind. That s until Craig sent me a link at work to Game tutorials and thought I would have a look and read. Good tutorial Game Sheep, love it.

Ok a look and read turned into download the source and play with it. So after a couple hours swearing at my lap top I manage to change the original game a bit so it was not a fixed track on one screen.

I edited the Actionscript so the world would move thus allowing me to make a bigger track. So there we have it stage one complete. Now only another 38 and thats it. Facebook plugin coming up once I master PHP and MYSQL’s integration with Flash and then you will all soon be having a mini friends league table of who has the fastest time.

I have probably revealed my secret plans there so if someone nicks the idea and uses it just credit me with a link, I dont care. Its just a bit of fun and by the time I finish this and learn fbml I will be 96.

Happy Days.

Here is early racing car thing anyway.

  2. Yes, No problems I will have to dig the file out for you. It was quite simple from what I remember I move the stage/ground instead of the car. The only issue is you are quite limited to the size of the track. At the moment I have a version at work that Iam trying to use the _xscale property with which is not going to well.

I will have a look this week and see if I can find it.
