Static Websites
Static sites are the simplest and probably the most beautifully designed websites around. A static website is basically what we call a brochure website'. Static websites can also be used to drive traffic to a portal / shop site
What is a Static Site
I get asked this question a lot so here goes. A static web site is a web site that does not make use of server-side scripting or coding to display information. Typical examples of static sites include small business' web sites that act basically as on-line brochures.
Micro Sites
Static sites have massive potential, and none more so than if you use them to create micro sites. A micro site is effectively a niche site that will describe something very unique and push traffic to a main site. For instance if you are running a shop which is not ranking very high on search engines for a new product, creating a micro site for that product will mean a content specific site for that product which then you can drive traffic on to your main site to convert to sales. Easy!.
